On January 8, 2024, the Faculty of Theology at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University hosted two significant events in the field of Arabic language education. First, the Director of Al Mu'jem Language Course, Mohammad Elbishawi, visited Dean Prof. Dr. Bilal Gökkır. Following this, he met with faculty students and delivered a presentation. In his speech, Elbishawi emphasized that Arabic is not just a language but also a carrier of a rich culture and history. Highlighting its importance as the language of the Qur'an and the Prophet, he detailed the advantages of living in a country where the language is spoken to enhance language skills and explained the reasons for choosing Jordan for this purpose.
On the same day, our dean also welcomed Derda İlhan, the Director of Daru’l-Elsun Arabic Teaching Center for Foreigners, based in Jordan. This meeting was attended by faculty members specializing in Arabic teaching and academic staff responsible for international agreements. In his presentation, İlhan discussed the conditions required to ensure high-quality Arabic education in Jordan and emphasized the importance of bilateral agreements with universities. He mentioned opportunities to strengthen relations between the two countries and underlined that Jordan is an ideal country for Arabic language teaching. Additionally, he explained the details to consider during education and ways to enhance the effectiveness of language learning.
These events provided an opportunity for students and academic staff to expand their knowledge and experience in Arabic learning.
