During an event held at the Beştepe Nation’s Congress and Culture Center, with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the “National Employment Strategy and İŞKUR Youth Program,” which provides work experience and income support to young people, was announced. In order to enable our University’s students to benefit from these initiatives, the necessary measures were discussed at a coordination meeting chaired by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alişarlı.
Participants at the meeting included the Bolu İŞKUR Provincial Director, Mr. İsmail Yalçın; Bolu İŞKUR Branch Manager, Ms. Gülseren Savaş Çetinkaya; and our University’s Career Center Director, Assoc. Prof. Murat Tarhan.
1,017 Quotas Allocated for Our Students; Quotas May Increase Depending on Demand
Within the scope of this program, which offers university students an opportunity to work in a field of their choice according to their interests and abilities while studying, participants can work up to three days per week. Those joining the program will receive a daily payment of 1,083 TL. Students who participate for five days a month will receive 5,415 TL, while those who participate for 14 days a month will receive approximately 15,162 TL in income support. The state will pay short-term insurance premiums on behalf of the students.
Under the İŞKUR Youth Program, 1,017 quotas have been allocated for students enrolled at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University; these quotas may be increased based on demand. Associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students in formal education, whose household income is less than three times the minimum wage, can apply. Applicants must be Turkish citizens who have reached the age of 18. Students may submit their applications to the İŞKUR Youth Program via www.iskur.gov.tr between February 10 and 14, 2025.
